Cool Yule: Stocking Stuffers is a special seasonal feature on Pop! Goes The Reader in which I put a twist on some of my regular features and share a number of different holiday-themed posts including desktop wallpapers, recipes and much, much more!
Yes, I’m sharing another wallpaper today. No, I’m not certifiably insane. (I don’t think.) This particular one is very close my heart. My family owns a lake house that we use from April-October and it’s one of my absolute favourite places on earth. The surrounding nature and landscape is beautiful, and there is no better place to enjoy the changing of the seasons. I wanted to somehow capture this ‘wildness’ and beauty with a slight seasonal flair while also creating a non-denominational wallpaper that everyone would be able to use and enjoy. Now I can only hope that I’ve succeeded!

I would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Marish, The Pen & Brush and Make Media, whose clipart and/or fonts I purchased, edited and used in the creation of this wallpaper!
What book would you like to see made into a desktop wallpaper next? Let me know in the comments – I would love to hear from you!

This is so pretty, and when I saw it by someone who reblogged it, I just had to pop in and say that it is so pretty! I love the idea behind it. If I could offer some criticism, I would say that the bear is too light and it doesn’t pop from all the bright birds and the light background. >.< I'm sorry if that was harsh coming from a total stranger. Don't hate me?
But I still really love it, and it's perfect (I'm weird, I know, I'm criticizing some part but I'm saying it's perfect). I love all the flourishes that you used, it looks adorable, and I love the design. I just love it all in all. :3

Oh, P.S. I spied Another Novel Read in your blogroll. Kelley’s a dear, and I loved her blog too! But you would have to change the link to Oh the Books. 😀 (And basically, this is one reason I would never do a blogroll. I would forget to update it. *sighs* Like my About page. *sighs twice* I’m being absolutely too forward in your comment box aren’t I? *runs away*)

Ah! This wallpaper is pretty cute too! Can I just rotate your wallpapers on a constant basis? 🙂 I also love that you chose the “May your days be merry and bright” line, because it’s one of my favorite quotes that encapsulates the season!
