The Literary Shopaholic is a sporadic feature on Pop! Goes The Reader in which I highlight some of my favourite literary-themed items. From bookmarks to bookends, purses to prints and everything in between, I’ve selected a few things that will be at the very top of my shopping list this season!
Break out those wallets and warm up those credit cards because The Literary Shopaholic is back! I’ll be the first to admit that between personal, professional, and blogging-related commitments, I’ve been a little over-extended recently. Sleep has been lost. Emails have gone unanswered. Friendships have been neglected. And, for better or worse, when I’m stressed, I shop. Rather than let these endless hours of aimless clicking and virtual window shopping go to waste, however, I decided to channel them into one of my favourite, if time-consuming, features. While temperatures dipped below -20°C in Ontario this week and spring remains little more than an illusive, intangible daydream, I thought it might be fun to usher in the changing of the seasons by selecting some of my favourite spring-inspired items on my shopping list this season. In addition, given the overwhelming response to the last edition of The Literary Shopaholic, in which I selected thirty-six literary-themed works of art, I decided to revisit this topic again today and have chosen twenty-one new pieces, be they general or book-specific. Whether you’re searching for a purse or a print, I hope that there is at least one item on today’s list that’s just right for you!
