Top Ten Tuesday is a regular feature on Pop! Goes The Reader in which I count down my top ten choices on a particular theme. This weekly event is hosted by Jamie at The Broke and the Bookish.
This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is: Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read For The First Time In 2016.
One of the things I love most about reading is discovering new literary voices. Whether it be through the recommendation of publicists and industry professionals, fellow bloggers and friends who know my taste best, or by a simple happy accident, there’s nothing like the thrill of finding a new author whose work you’ll be able to read, enjoy and celebrate for many years to come. For today’s Top Ten Tuesday prompt, I have compiled a list of ten authors whose work I read (and adored) for the first time this year.
As always, these choices are listed in no particular order.
01) Celeste Ng ● Everything I Never Told You (You can read my review here!)
02) Caleb Roehrig ● Last Seen Leaving (You can read my review here!)
03) Siobhan Vivian ● The Last Boy And Girl In The World
04) Elana K. Arnold ● Far From Fair (You can read my review here!)
05) Casey Lyall ● Howard Wallace, P.I. (You can read my review here!)
06) Shannon M. Parker ● The Girl Who Fell (You can read my review here!)
07) Jennifer Maschari ● The Remarkable Journey Of Charlie Price (You can read my review here!)
08) Kathleen Glasgow ● Girl In Pieces (You can read my review here!)
09) Brooks Benjamin ● My Seventh-Grade Life In Tights (You can read my review here!)
10) Lindy West ● Shrill: Notes From A Loud Woman
Now it’s your turn! Are there any authors whose work you read for the first time in 2016 you really enjoyed? Let me know in the comments – I would love to hear from you!

This is such a wonderful list and I’m honored to be on it. <3
Out of all of these, I’ve only read Brooks Benjamin’s book and he was new to me this year too. Loved it! And I love him, he’s so nice. <3 But I haven't read any of the others. *hides in shame corner*

I haven’t tried any of these authors yet, but I definitely will have to try Shrill. Great list!
