Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2014

“Top Ten Tuesday” is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!

This week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic is the Top Ten New-To-Me Authors I Read In 2014.

One of the things I love most about reading is discovering new literary voices. Whether it be through the recommendation of publicists and industry professionals, the bloggers and friends who know my taste best, or by a simple happy accident, there’s nothing like the thrill of finding a new author whose work you’ll be able to love, enjoy and celebrate for many years to come. Want to learn a little more about the books that made these ten authors new favourites of mine? Click to the links in the book titles below to be directed to my review, where available. Who knows? Maybe these authors will soon become new favourites of yours, too!

  1. A.S. King made my list too. I read Everybody Sees the Ants this past year and really loved it. I’m planning on reading Ask the Passengers next. I love how beautifully she weaves magical realism into her books.
I’ve seen Hook’s Revenge around quite a bit lately, and I’m really tempted to pick it up. Peter Pan is my favorite book of all time and I love reading all the spin-offs!

Hi! I’m Jen! I’m a thirty-something introvert who loves nothing more than the cozy comfort of home and snuggling my two rescue cats, Pepper and Pancakes. I also enjoy running, jigsaw puzzles, baking and everything Disney. Few things bring me more joy than helping a reader find the right book for them!
