For as long as she can remember, Wren Gray’s goal has been to please her parents. But as high school graduation nears, so does an uncomfortable realization: Pleasing her parents once overlapped with pleasing herself, but now…not so much. Wren needs to honor her own desires, but how can she if she doesn’t even know what they are?
Charlie Parker, on the other hand, is painfully aware of his heart’s desire. A gentle boy with a troubled past, Charlie has loved Wren since the day he first saw her. But a girl like Wren would never fall for a guy like Charlie – at least not the sort of guy Charlie believes himself to be.
And yet certain things are written in the stars. And in the summer after high school, Wren and Charlie’s souls will collide. But souls are complicated, as are the bodies that house them…
What’s not to love? Aside from the absolutely stunning book cover and fantastic use of typography, there are few things I enjoy more than a pure, simple contemporary young adult story. Based on the premise I feel as though I’ll be able to relate intimately to Wren’s struggles. I think it will be gratifying to watch as Wren attempts to re-define herself outside of her parent’s expectations and embrace what she’s truly passionate about for the first time. And, as a big romance lover, I can’t wait to find out how Wren and Charlie’s relationship evolves over the course of a single summer.

Awesome choice! I read some of Lauren Myracle’s Internet Girls series and I remember really enjoying it. I can’t remember if I’ve said this before, but you have the most awesomest design! It’s so good! Did you do it yourself?

Thank you so much, Krystianna! 😀 I wish I could take some of the credit but my blog’s lovely design is all thanks to Cindy Pepper. She was an absolute joy to work with and the final product is more beautiful than I ever could have imagined possible!

This is on my TBR list already. The cover, as you said is beautiful and I’ve noticed a lot of YA + NA Novels not really considering the typography or infact are using typography that just doesn’t work. So it is great to see for once typography that works and so beautifully.
Definitely looking forward to getting my head stuck in this book 😀

I completely agree – It’s quite rare to see so much attention paid to the typography on a YA cover, but I’m so glad they did. It seems to perfectly fits the spirit of the novel 🙂 Glad to know I’m in good company in waiting for this one, Georgina!

I’ve been dying to read this too! I’d hoped to get it from NetGalley, but it’s so popular that too many people requested it. So I guess I’ll just have to buy the darn thing (woe is me, I have to own another book )

I took a chance and requested it last night on NetGalley as well, although given its popularity and how new my blog is, I won’t be holding my breath. It won’t be a hardship to purchase this one, though. Looking as beautiful as it does, it would be a pleasure to add this one to my overflowing bookshelves 🙂

I just opened a NetGalley account and requested it last night, but given the book’s popularity and how new my blog is, I won’t hold out hope that my request will be accepted.

Isn’t it just stunning? It’s honestly one of the best covers I’ve seen in recent memory. I can only hope the story inside is half as beautiful 🙂
