First and foremost, I would like to wish all my Canadian readers and fellow bloggers a very Happy Thanksgiving! I hope y’all are able to spend a little time with your loved ones and make the most of the long weekend! I know the latter is certainly something that I’m thankful for this year! 😉 While we’re on the subject, I would like to take a moment to talk about one of the things I’m most thankful for this year – You! I want to thank each and every person who has supported Pop! Goes The Reader since its inception back in June. Your encouragement and kindness has meant more to me than I could ever adequately express, but please know that you have made this wonderful, positive experience better than I ever could have dreamt possible! I’m so thankful to have found somewhere I feel I truly belong.
Now, because it is a holiday, I’ll be taking a little time off to spend some much needed and much appreciated time with my family. I’ll be celebrating the long holiday weekend at our cottage and have taken time off work until Wednesday. Given all of this, I’ll likely have very little time to dedicate to the blog this week, and as such will be putting it on a short one-week-long hiatus. I hate having to do this as I feel I’m letting everyone down, but I would like to make the most of this holiday. But never fear – Pop! Goes The Reader will return Monday, October 21st, 2013 with an all new edition of Do! Judge A Book By Its Cover and its regularly scheduled posts. Until then, I can always be found on Twitter! Please don’t hesitate to send me a quick message. I always love making new friends. 😀

Happy thanksgiving, Jen! We don’t have a holiday like it in England so I don’t always get it, but I do get spending time with loved ones and eating great food. Enjoy your time off with your family, have loads of fun and don’t worry about taking time off from Pop! We’ll wait for you. 🙂

Happy Thanksgiving to you Jen! American Thanksgiving is a little more than a month so I’m looking forward to that. Meanwhile, I hope you’re having fun with your family and eating good food!

Thank you so much for your kind comment, Alice-Jane! I really appreciate it 😀 The time off spent with my family has been lovely, and the food has been equally wonderful!
Personally, I’ve always been partial to when Canadian Thanksgiving falls, if only because it allows me to begin celebrating Christmas the moment that Halloween ends 😆 I can’t imagine having to wait another month until after Thanksgiving ends in late November to begin bringing out all my trees, decorations, and Christmas music. Then again, I’m a bit of a Christmas addict 😉

Thank you so much, Holly! 🙂 I wish I could take credit for the beautiful layout, but it’s all thanks to the talents of Cindy Pepper. She was a dream to work with and Pop! Goes The Reader’s layout turned out better than I ever could have dreamt possible.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving as well when it comes time in November!

Happy Thanksgiving Jen! I hope you are having a wonderful time at the cottage. I’m definitely thankful I came across your blog, and I really value our friendship, even if we’ve known each other only a few short months. I’m amazed that you only started in June, it seems live so much longer! 😀
