Do! Judge A Book By Its Cover is a regular feature on Pop! Goes The Reader in which I pay tribute to some of the best and brightest the publishing world has to offer in the way of book cover design. This feature is inspired by Katie’s feature Cover Love on her blog One Page At A Time. The idea is being used with her gracious permission.
Some of my favourite covers this week include Blueberry Pancakes Forever by Angelica Banks, In Darkling Wood by Emma Carroll, Forever, Or A Long, Long Time by Caela Carter, Hello, Universe by Erin Entrada Kelly, Miss Ellicott’s School For The Magically Minded by Sage Blackwood ● The Forgetting Spell by Lauren Myracle, A Whisper Of Horses by Zillah Bethell, The Charming Life Of Izzy Malone by Jenny Lundquist, Dreambender by Ronald Kidd and The Silver Gate by Kristin Bailey.
PLEASE NOTE: I always do my best to credit the illustrators responsible for the beautiful covers shared in these posts, but was unable to find this information for a great number of those listed today. If you know of an uncredited illustrator responsible for any of the book covers included below, please let me know and I would be happy to include proper attribution in this post. Their work is lovely and deserves to be credited.

I’m sensing a theme in those blue, purple and yellow covers, they all look so wonderful. I’m eager to read Lodestar by Shannon Messenger and the next Book Scavengar book.
